NAME
bbfeed - read rss or atom feeds
SYNOPSIS
bbfeed [-hV] [-f
file
]
DESCRIPTION
bbfeed
Reads rss/atom feeds and stores them in a mailbox, currently only the
mbox (mboxo)
format is supported. The retro-ui is inspired by
bboard(1)
the bulletin board found at the SDF Public Access UNIX system. More
information on sdf can be found at
http://sdf.lonestar.org.
OPTION
- -f file

Use the alternate configuration file
file
instead of
~/.bbfeedrc.
It overrides the BBFEED_CONF environment variable.
- -h

Display a usage message and exit
- -V

Display the version used.
CONFIGURATION
- (B)ROWSER

A shell command to open the url in $1, this option asks for a
complete shell command like that must be quoted, the url is set in the
first positional paramter and should be quoted ie: lynx "$1"

~/.bbfeedrc

The default configuration file. See
bbfeedrc(5)
for further details.
ENVIRONMENT
- BBFEED_CONF

If non-null the full pathname for an alternate configuration file
.bbfeedrc.
Overridden by the
-f
option.
- http_proxy

It can be set to a url of the form
http://a.proxy:80
to fetch the feeds via a proxy.
BUGS
Only one mailbox format is currently supported.
bbfeedrc(5)
is not written yet.
